June 23: Were in Wyoming. Went to see Old Faithful. Its in three stages. I got better pics on my camera to show you all later. Jeanne'

June 20: We were in Deadwood SD. Went to a place called 'Kitty Saloon' and did some gambling. Tom put in $20 and won $198.00. He was paid out of the machine in silver dollars, so we had to cash them in for paper. I won about $80. Deadwood was a fun place. Then we went to Mt Rushmore. This was Sat June 20Th. Jeanne'

June 21: This is Mt Rushmore in the evening, just before the lighting of the Mountian. This was on Sunday night June 21. We would have sent there sooner but we were in the mt. and had no service. At the lighting it goes in three stages and this is the last one. It was so amazing. Everyone should see this. We also went to the monument that is being made of Crazy Horse. They have just the head done another amazing place. love ya ! Jeanne'

June 23: Monday morning we were driving up Big Horn mountain, about 13,167. High, really scary. Going up is beautiful, looking down is WOW. Coming down, oh my gosh, it was so scary. Grades of 10% down for about 14 miles. We did that for about ten times. Then grades went to 8% for about 6 miles. We did that about 6 times. Brakes we could smell. Thank goodness for the jake brake. They even said cars use low gears. They had pull offs so your brakes could cool. And at one point, at about 9,380 ft we stopped and threw snow. There was alot of it all around. And now were just outside a town called Cody, Wyoming in a valley called Wapiti in a nice park. Were going to go into Yellowstone today. Jeanne'

June 17: Hi all, we are in Iowa headed for Iowa City for lunch. Then on to somewhere close to Nebraska. If not today, tomorrow Omaha it will be. L U A! This is Wednesday Jeanne'

Wed night we had a very bad storm. The dogs slept with us. Jack was going crazy rocked the MH. Lite up MH like we had the lights on. Thunder so loud you would have thought it was comming in side. The pic is this morning after the storm. Everything back to normal whatever that is. June 18 th. Jeanne'
June 18: Off to Sioux City and Sioux Falls, then into Rapid City South Dakota. Jeanne'

June 16: Great place to eat food was great. Cars and motor cycles hangin around everywhere. will send more pic s . Tom had so many choices didnt know which one to choose first. So he had all u can eat wings in many different flavors. I shared with him. We even ordered to take with us. We need a place like this at home. I have a menu so u all can see. Jeanne'

Following the Amish

June 13: The new way to travel. We followed them for quite aways. Lots of horse and buggys everywhere. Kind of nice to see. We are in Amish country. Lots of Amish farms all around us. We are in a small town called Breman not to far from Nappainee Indiana. We are going to look at the farms and the Amish shops and do their tour. Jeanne'

Waffles anyone?

It is us again on the move. Just had breakfast at the famous Waffle House. Heading to the Newmar factory. This is sat morning June 13 having a great time.L U A ! Jeanne'

Columbus, Indiana

Here we arr in an R V park in Columbus, Indiana about 40 miles from the Newmar factory which is in Mappanee In. Leaving this park on Sat 6/13 and going to stay at the R V park at the factory. Weather nice cool around 75. Lots of bugs mostly mosq. well dinner cooked and over, its time for a walk.Jeanne'

June 13: Yes we are down the street from the factory. Going to the tour on Monday 6/15 morning about 10am. And by the way we gained another hour. This is Saturday 8:08pm the 13th. Jeanne'

Tennessee Storms

Here we are in the park after the big storm. Time to leave for Indiana. Out of the new storms and tornados comming L U A ! Jeanne'

June 11: We are in Nashville and the CMA (Country Music Awards) are here this week & week-end. Crazy lots of people. Waiting for a big storm to pass again. A rest day today. Its a little cooler not much but some. Wind helps. Jeanne'

June 12: They had a Tornado warning in McKinney, TX said Aunt Linda. Knocked out the electricity until about 3 am. The winds were about 70 mph. The sunsets there are so beautiful....And we were in a big storm Thurs night with lots of wind rain loud thunder, lots of lighting and a Tornado warning for about 2 hours. It was sure pretty but me and the dogs were not liking it. Tom and I went Thur a trial run of what we were going to do if the Tornado was real and not just a warning..It comes on the TV alot..There is a beep beep at the lower right hand side of the screen and then the whole screen shows and tracks the storm by county and then by areas and then by streets. We are leaving Nashville this AM headed to Indiana and better weather...Not liking the storms. Could not live here but the area is so beautiful and green...Rolling hills and lots of trees and very green...Storms are to much for me.....Will come back to Nashville when the weather is better and the CMA awards are not in sing...about 80 thousand people here..They come from all around the world....Lots of love to all....

June 6th: We're entering New Orleans leaving Baton Rouge. Crossing an 18 mile bridge no getting off. June 6th crossed 3 bridges water on all sides no getting off until the end. We're headed for R V park in Sil del. Going to stay for a couple of days. checking out French quarters and Bourbon street. Its about 86 to 89 out today. Looking for rain on Tues or Wed. Then in the upper 90 s . Saw a news person her name is Margett Orr. Small world. Jeanne'
June 6th : French Quarters. Having so much fun. Had a horse drawn buggy ride all over the quarters and Bourbon street. Having a great time. Hot hot outside. The dogs did great. They are home in the cool R V.L U A ! Jeanne'

Another Storm in McKinney

Good Morning its June 2nd. Tuesday morning June 2nd is the begining of our thunder storm. The wind rain, and I mean rain and wind. Big thunder ~ love thunder. I think the rain is going to come in the MH WOW WOW!!

June 4: The weather here has been great. Yesterday June 3rd we had a storm big one lots of thunder that shook the Motor Home. Lighting that lit up the MH and rain rain rain so hard it sounds like rock hitting. The dogs slept with us for most of the night. Then in the AM the sun was shinning with lots of clouds around. It was about 86 and we spent most of the day in the pool swimming laughing and just being lazy it was fun. Now today June 4th we are going to finish the laundry and baby sit Toms 2 grand neices 4yrs old Cloie and Lincoln 3 1/2 month old. Today is Dillions party at school. And then it is ribs day we are having them for dinner. And more swimming...Have pictures on the Comp just have to figure out how to email them to you...Glad that you are having good weather about time. You all need to dry out....More will come...Hugs MOM

Champ is a great dog. He thinks that he must save everyone that gets intot he pool. That includes Lelow. He gets her by the neck when she gets out of the pool. Very gentle.
Jack and LeLows other cousin, Niko, laying inside ~ much cooler. We call Niko the "napkin bandit". He steals them and eats them. I do try to take them away from him. Great dog.

When we got back home, the dogs, all four of them , were fine they did good by themselves. So proud of Jack and LeLow ~ they are good travelers l o l..

THURSDAY NIGHT we all went to the horse races in Dallas Tx. Uncle Brian and Tom buying programs so we can bet. What fun. Nice horses young ones for the first few races.

The Sonic Experience

Got ya! Thursday 5/28: For lunch Tom and I ate at the famous Sonics just like the one in South Hill. The food was great. Loved the girls on skates. Just like when we were kids. What fun. Go try it. When we get back we're going to take our little red truck there and have lunch. later. l o l.

Going to the horse races tonight. We have out box with a big buffet. Should be fun.

4pm: We're at the races. Just finished our buffet. We can eat all thru the race. Good food and great salads.

Storming in McKinney May 26th

We had a wow storm Tuesday night May 26th. The wind blew so hard, the rain came and the thunder. It shook the M H so bad and no, it is nothing like we have at home. I was so sacred it was time to cuddle and hold on tight. This is a pic of the morning after. The sun, a few clouds and it smells so good ~ the air outside. About 86 today, just right. Tom is off to the dentist today due to a chipped tooth that is in need of looking at. Until tomorrow. Jeanne'

GOT A SCARF TOO IN WITH IT AND MY SMALL CLUTCH. DONT WORRY, TOM GOT NEW SHIRTS & SHORTS. THE GUYS WERE SO GOOD HELPING US PICK OUT PURSES AND WAIT FOR US WHILE WE STOOD IN A LONG LINE. OH WHAT FUN. May 24th

We're in McKinney, Tx. It is so nice to see them. All the dogs, their two big ones and our two are getting along. We went to dinner, then we all found the park. Took them home, had pie and then we left for park. That was about 11pm. We got turned around. Finally the Tom Tom took the address after driving around and around. Got to the park about 1am. What fun then off to bed so so tired. Today Sunday, do washing, some shopping, and just hanging out. Big BBQ with family kids and all. Their pool outside is great. Both our dogs and one of theirs went for a swim yesterday. Jack is ok. Lelow not so sure. They both cooled right down. Later have fun. Jeanne'

Hi there, it is Tues May 25Th 2009.
We arrived in McKinney Texas on Sat morning May 23rd. Went to Tom's sisters home. Our Tom Tom kept taking us in a round about way and with the Motor Home the roads seemed to get smaller with more cars parked on the side. Of course we are in a housing area. Very beautiful lots of green trees and all brick homes. We called Linda to see how far we were away just around the block that is not our block but theirs. Linda went out to the main road and Brian stayed by the house. Wow we made it. It was so nice to see them, it has been years for me..Talked and laughed went to eat and then we found out park..Long day so we went back to the MH..
May 24Th Sunday we went shopping and what fun we had..We went to get Tom some more tops. And then we went to the Coach Store. yes that's right the purse shop...Linda and I went nuts there are so many to pick from. First this one and then that one yes and no and then on again..The guys were so good they helped us pick. Linda found one and gave me one to try on. We both loved it so much we bought the same one..I put the coach scarf with it gave it a me touch..Then I found a smaller clutch which matched my purse and got it to...When we were done Linda said this is fun which store next. Well you know what happened next the guys said we are going home..Nap time so that's where we went. But Linda and I decided that the guys can rest and we will go do some more things and so we did. What fun....
May 25Th Monday, we went back to Linda and Brian's for a family BBQ. Toms niece and family came over. We ate,swam,talked,laughed,ate some more put the dogs in the water cooled them off. It was so much fun, yes I have pictures which will come soon.
Tues May 26Th. We are going to the casino's in Oklahoma today and Lord knows what we will come back with. It is about 9:30 am and we are having a thunder,wind,rain storm the dogs are going crazy. Jack is laying right by my feet and Lelow is in her bed looking at me with those big eyes....Tom is about ready to get up and me I have to sign off so I can get ready....Hugs until later....

May 23rd

We're just outside sunny Oklahoma. Real close to Okl City. Flat green and beautiful. Headed for Dallas, Texas this am. Have a great week-end ya all. Jeanne'

We're now thru the upper part of Texas and headed for Oklahoma City tonight. Then tomorrow we will be in Dallas, Texas. We will be visiting Tom's sister, Linda and husband Brian.
