"Big rain storm. When the rain hit the window it was the size of fifty cent pieces and splat. Then came the lighting and thunder. All traffic slowed down to about thirty five - no one could see. Lasted about fifteen minutes. Then it cleared. About thirty min, it started again. Then the sun came out. We are staying at Santa Rose campgrounds in Santa Rose, New Mexico. Leaving in the A M for Dallas." May 21st, 8:29pm

Cleaned the car and MH. Just what we needed, but now it is stopping. The park is a petrified forest. Just like we have in Ellensburg. WOW. http://www.ci.holbrook.az.us/index.asp?Type=B_BASIC&SEC={1B67B8B1-893D-4B51-A2C5-23ACA8794241}

Updated May 18th @ 8:13am

"Hi again...Friday May 15th we were on our way to Salt Lake City when our dog Jack decided he needed to use the out doors. So we stopped just 28 miles from Wendover N. We all went for a walk and a once over check of car and MH. Tom noticed that the locking pin was missing from the hitch from the MH to the car. Looking closer he saw just a small piece of the pin was left in the hitch. We know that someone is looking out for us so it took about an hour to jimmy rig something that would take us 28 mile to the next town to get a locking pin. We parked at a KOA Wendover. We went out looking and found nothing. So Sunday morning, today, went out again to look. Nothing. The store we needed was closed, so another stay at the KOA ,which I might add is a very nice one. The weather is beautiful, about 85 with a nice breeze. We are about 4380ft up in the mountains. It will be nice to go down to sea level. Toms numbers were very high on Sunday so we just played it low. First time on our trip he has had high numbers. The dogs like to go out and go potty, then right back in. They have city feet. The burrs get into their feet and hurt. Off to Salt lake city this am...

We stayed in Salina, UT at Butch Cassidy Campgrounds ((see photo very top ))http://www.butchcassidycampground.com/. That was Monday night. Hugs and Kiss Jeanne' and Tom....."

Pins & Locks

Update May 16 9:59pm
"About 109 miles from Salt Lake City. Someone cut the lock and pin from out hitch at the back of our mH. That pulls our car. Good thing Jack had to go potty or we couldhave lost the car. We are at a truck station trying to get a couple of pins and locks, one spare. Will email you tomorrow."
This was a freaky email to receive from my mom. Why the heavens would someone steal pins & locks!!!!!!

"Well here we go~ Thurs morning 5/14, getting ready to leave the Reno RV Park. Tom is outside cleaning the windows and the MotorHome is ready to go. Tom puts the key in to start and only black smoke comes out of the back...oh my here we go a new adventure to our journey. After trying many times it is time to call someone. Called Cashman Cat, Tom talked to them and decided to try it one more time..Whoo Hoo it worked so we left and had it checked out in town. Of course they found nothing...which is great they said it probably was just a fluke...Off we go headed onto Highway 80E up into the Mountains again. It is so beautiful looks alot like eastern Washington..Lots of things to see different than at home.. Oh my I see a Wal Mart truck in front of us....Imagine that way out here...yes they are everywhere....Well we are not going to drive until dark today so it is up to me to pick a RV Park. I found one I like it is called Winnemucca RV Park fancy that.!!!!
So here we are, all pulled in and set up. It is rather warm out side, not really hot but when one is working and in a high altitude like 4950ft it gets to ya...Nice and cool inside, the air is on and dogs are all settled in so it is time to go eat....Whow everything just shut off.!!!! There goes Tom checking everything out from inside to outside, pushing this and pulling that..And still nothing. Just can't image what is wrong. So we opened the windows, closed the shades so the breeze could come in so the dogs would be o.k. We needed to go eat. After eating Tom decided to play a few machines, you know the 25 cent one or the 50 cent ones and guess what??? yes you are right, he won and won and won..didn't loose any came home 400 head. What a guy he is amazing...We got back and our RV was very dark. So out comes the flashlights and the computer. Then the phone rang, it was Bonnijean so while we talked I was telling her what happened. Bryan and Tom began to talk. Started telling him what he did and then he flipped on a switch for the batteries and everything came on...The strap for the TV when we closed the door that holds the strap, it must of pushed the switch off. But anyway we had lights and air and what a good ending to a warm night....Well it is morning and we are heading out soon still headed for Salt Lake City and Bryce Canyon and there abouts..Love you all until next time....

"Cash" out Slot Machine!!

"Tom started to play a fifty cent slot machine with only putting in $20, won $149. Then he hit it again and won $3243.50 at Circus Circus. Then another win and another on different machines. Not as big. $300, $249 and $120. We came out ahead. Best thing were having fun. Leaving for Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park and Grand Canyon tomorrow before noon. That's when check out time is. So we have to be on our way. Talk to you later." May 15, 2009 @ 8:16am
