Vegas and Grand Canyon

Hi here we are again. We stopped in Vegas for 3 days. Stayed at the KOA at Circus Circus. Played some games lost but had fun. Tues we walked the whole strip saw lots of things played some more games won some and lost some. The sun feels so good and not to hot for walking. The dogs had a great fenced area to play in lots of things for them to run thru and jump over. Then we left and saw the Hoover Dam. WOW what a site to see so big really nice to be able to see it all from the Motor Home because we are so high. If you haven't seen it yet you need to. My grandson Cohen who is 9 saw it and was telling me that i really need to see it. Cohen was so amazed just like I was. Now we are off to see the Grand Canyon getting our pictures to send to you is not so easy right now our service is very slow...We are having a great time and loving it. The altitudes are playing games with Tom and I. Not to bad on me but really hard on Tom. The sun is shinning and getting warmer today. Will try and send pictures tonight..Until next time take care and smile....

Into the sunshine

Hi everyone, we made it thru Grants Pass and into Calif. The weather is so nice and warm we had to change into our shorts and cool tops. So sorry to all of you who are in the rain and wind and maybe some thunder. We are leaving Lodi and not sure just where we are going. Just found out on Sat that my son in law was born here in Lodi. Learn something new everyday I think he was little when he left. That was good for us now we have him in our family. After our good dinner that I fixed last night we went for a walk all thru the park. Then we walked around the town nice place to see. They have lots to do here a tour of a Chocolate factory, old fashioned sausage factory. We are going to see just how Jelly Bellys are made her. Wonderful Lodi Wine center also going to see how they beat Napa Valley get some free samples. Great free samples of everything. Must go get the landury out of wash and into the dryer. We are having such a good time. Dogs are enjoying themselves love to travel and see new places lots of new smells. Until next time have a great day.

Mt. Rushmore at sunset before the lighting.
Mt. Rushmore at the third lighting stage. Amazing!
June 20: We were in Deadwood SD. Went to a place called 'Kitty Saloon' and did some gambling. Tom put in $20 and won $198.00. He was paid out of the machine in silver dollars, so we had to cash them in for paper. I won about $80. Deadwood was a fun place. Then we went to Mt Rushmore. This was Sat June 20Th. Jeanne'
June 21: This is Mt Rushmore in the evening, just before the lighting of the Mountian. This was on Sunday night June 21. We would have sent there sooner but we were in the mt. and had no service. At the lighting it goes in three stages and this is the last one. It was so amazing. Everyone should see this. We also went to the monument that is being made of Crazy Horse. They have just the head done another amazing place. love ya ! Jeanne'
June 23: Monday morning we were driving up Big Horn mountain, about 13,167. High, really scary. Going up is beautiful, looking down is WOW. Coming down, oh my gosh, it was so scary. Grades of 10% down for about 14 miles. We did that for about ten times. Then grades went to 8% for about 6 miles. We did that about 6 times. Brakes we could smell. Thank goodness for the jake brake. They even said cars use low gears. They had pull offs so your brakes could cool. And at one point, at about 9,380 ft we stopped and threw snow. There was alot of it all around. And now were just outside a town called Cody, Wyoming in a valley called Wapiti in a nice park. Were going to go into Yellowstone today. Jeanne'
